Home Inspection Fees
You get what you pay for ""Good inspections aren't cheap, and cheap inspections aren't good."
Bargain shopping for a home inspector just does not make sense when you consider the size of the investment you are about to make. The cost of the home inspection is very small in comparison to the benefits one will receive from the inspection. You need to consider that the home inspection fee is a small investment for the critical information you need to make the bigger investment decision.
I am committed to offering you a fair price for your inspection. In return you will receive the benefit of knowing that you are making an informed home buying decision. The purpose of the home inspection is not to pass or fail the home, but to give you a detailed report on the condition of the home at the time it was inspected.
Flagler Home Inspections start at CALL and with a 100% Money Back Guarantee (ask for details) for up to 2000 sq ft total, so call today to find out what your home inspection is worth.
Remember the "Common Law of Business Balance"
"It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money -- that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot -- it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.'' J. Ruskin
"Price is what you pay; value is what you get"...Warren Buffet.
PRICE SHOPPER WARNING INFORMATION :
In the event price is your primary concern, please consider the following suggestions:
Ask an attorney, family member, and friends for referral recommendations. See if they used a low cost home inspector with any satisfactory results.
Contact your realtor and ask them for a referral recommendation. I'm sure some, not all realtors are familiar with local home inspectors and some would be delighted to recommend the lowest priced home inspector they know. These guys help "their deals" go smoothly. Realtors that recommend me know I'm not the lowest guy in town, and know the quality of my inspections. I have lost some realtors
in the past for "killing" their deals, but I work for you, my client. Why would any realtor want a low baller, cheap inspector, NO PROBLEMS ? Some realtors say "I GO OVERBOARD". Well, if I was buying a house I'd want the inspector that "GOES OVERBOARD" to do my inspection. I'm sure you agree.
Consider using a home inspector "APPRENTICE TRAINEE" for your inspection. Large or volume inspection companies can employ apprentices. Those who are an apprentice rather then a Professional Inspector usually offer bargan pricing as a way to generate business and gain experience.
Try the local phone book. Many of the inspection firms that advertise here are large, high volume companies that don't do much referral business and try to be low priced to keep landing new customers. Some are NEW Inspectors just starting.
Search the internet for an inspector. Look at the Sponsored or Advertised sections on the top and sides of the page. Many inspectors here are companies competing for business and offer cut-rate pricing. The companies in the middle did not pay to advertise and are listed due to popularity or ranking, so they may not be cheap.
Hire a part-timer inspector. On average their pricing is lower than those that do professional home inspections as a full time career. There are a lot of fireman, retiree's and even home builders due to the
real estate market being slow, in this profession.
Believe it or not, home builders make the worst home inspectors. Remember, who's mistakes do good home inspectors find, BUILDERS? No disrespect to them but they are part timers because of the building slow down they are doing home inspections. Most contractors (conspectors) basically plan the home they are building. They schedule the work to be done from subcontractors and do not do the work themselves. Most do not know the inner workings of a home and it's components. Home inspectors are generalists and know these systems. Most contractors could not pass the entrance exam. to be a member of InterNachi.
Every home inspection I perform is of the highest quality & most in depth available in the home inspection industry.
And at a reasonable price.
